PUBLIC NOTICE: Date 29-01-2026 Purchase/Lease/Donors of Open Land for Cricket Ground with Allied Facilities in all Districts of Telangana State
It is hereby informed that the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) intends to purchase/lease land admeasuring between Ac.10-00 to Ac.15-00 exclusively for the purpose of development of Cricket Grounds and Cricket academies in all the Districts of the Telangana State.

    KAKA VENKATSWAMY MEMORIAL T20 TOURNAMENT

    29-12-2025: The II Phase of Kaka Venkatswamy Memorial Inter-District T20 League was inaugurated yesterday at 5:00 PM at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium
    The inauguration was attended by Sri Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy, Minister of Labour and Employment and President of Visaka Industries Ltd, who is also the sponsor of the tournament, Sri Gutha Sukendar, Chairman of the Legislative Council, HCA Sri Daljit Singh, Acting Secretary, Sri Basavaraju, Joint Secretary, and Sri Sunil Agarwal, Councillor.
    The Hyderabad Cricket Association is bound to implement and comply with all directives, disciplinary actions, and regulations issued by the BCCI in the interest of maintaining the integrity, discipline, and governance standards of the game.
    A total of 10 districts from Telangana are competing in this tournament. Forty-nine(49) matches will be played across various districts of the state, including Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Siddipet, Ramagundam, Warangal, and Mahbubnagar

    BCCI BANS RAM CHARAN MARKATTA FOR 2 YEARS

    28-12-2025: The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) hereby informs that Mr. M. Ram Charan Markatta, a registered cricketer, has been banned by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from participating in any cricketing activities conducted under the aegis of the BCCI or any of its affiliated State Associations.
    The ban is effective for a period of two (2) years, concluding on 28 December 2027, as communicated by the BCCI to all concerned stakeholders. HCA clarifies that, in accordance with BCCI regulations, upon completion of the ban period, the player shall be eligible to participate only in Senior Cricket, subject to fulfillment of all applicable rules, regulations, and eligibility criteria prescribed by the BCCI at that time.
    The Hyderabad Cricket Association is bound to implement and comply with all directives, disciplinary actions, and regulations issued by the BCCI in the interest of maintaining the integrity, discipline, and governance standards of the game.

    The Apex Council of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has directed that all players selected for the HCA Men’s U-23 State “A” One Day Tournament (Elite Group) must submit their original documents, including Date of Birth Certificate, Aadhaar Card, and Passport, for verification purposes.

    The verification process is being carried out to ensure the authenticity of player records and to uphold the integrity and fairness of the selection process.

    The Apex Council has further clarified that the selection of players has been made solely by the Chairman and the Selection Committee, and that neither the HCA administration nor any other individual has any role or influence in the selection process.

    It has also been emphasized that any discrepancies found in the Date of Birth or other submitted details will invite strict legal action against the concerned player.

    The HCA reiterates its commitment to maintaining transparency, fairness, and discipline in all its cricketing activities.

    U19 BCCI MEN'S CHALLENGER TROPHY - WINNERS 2025-26

    The Men’s Under-19 Challenger Trophy 2025–26, conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and hosted by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), concluded today with a thrilling final match between Team A and Team D at the NFC Cricket Ground, Hyderabad.

    In an exciting contest, Team A emerged as the Champions of the tournament, displaying remarkable skill and team spirit throughout the competition.

    The post-match presentation ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Justice P. Naveen Rao (Retd.), Administrator, Hyderabad Cricket Association, who attended as the Chief Guest. Justice Rao presented the Championship Trophy to the winning team and extended his heartfelt congratulations to all players for their outstanding performances and sportsmanship.

    Furthermore, Mr. Aaron George Varghese has been selected for India B and will lead the team as Captain, while Wafi Kachchhi, Alankrith Rapole , and Mohammad Abdul Malik have been selected for India A.

    COURT ORDER WP No.32397/2025 BANNER PLAYERS REFIEF DECLINED

    High Court Declines Relief to interim relief to banned Cricketer Player; HCA’s Stand Upheld

    In a significant development, the Hon’ble High Court has declined to grant interim relief to a cricketer in W.P. No. 32397 of 2025, (Prem Gone.vs. The Hyderabad Cricket. Association (HCA) effectively upholding the position taken by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

    The banned Cricketer had approached the Court seeking permission to participate in an ongoing tournament. However, during the proceedings, the HCA submitted that the ban imposed by the BCCI through its order dated November 13, 2024, continues to remain in effect, thereby rendering the player ineligible to participate in any cricketing activities under the Association’s jurisdiction.

    After hearing both sides, the Hon’ble Court was not inclined to grant the interim relief sought by the petitioner and adjourned the matter for further hearing.

    The decision is seen as a validation of the HCA’s consistent stand on adhering to the disciplinary framework and regulatory directives issued by the BCCI. HCA officials reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to maintaining transparency, integrity, and accountability in all cricketing affairs within its ambit.

    Hyderabad Cricket Association Announces Women’s Selection Committee for 2025–26 Domestic Season

    The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of the Women’s Selection Committee for the upcoming BCCI Domestic Cricket Season 2025–26.

    The committee has been constituted with the objective of ensuring transparency, merit-based selection, and encouragement of young women cricketers in Telangana. It comprises of accomplished former players who bring rich experience and a proven record of contribution to the sport.

    The Women’s Selection Committee (2025–26) is as follows:

    HCA: CLARIFICATION OF RESOLUTIONS OF THE APEX - 22-08-2025

    Subject: The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) wishes to clarify and place on record the following decisions and resolutions of the Apex Council:

    1. Quorum Validity

    In accordance with Rule 15(8) of the HCA Memorandum, Rules & Regulations (2018), the quorum required for meetings of the Apex Council is five members. The present Council is functioning with six members, which is above the stipulated requirement. Hence, all decisions and resolutions passed are valid, binding, and in full conformity with the governing rules.

    2. Special General Meeting (SGM)

    The Apex Council has resolved to conduct a Special General Meeting (SGM) on 14th September 2025 under Rule 45 of the HCA Rules & Regulations, to consider and adopt necessary amendments to the existing Rules & Regulations / Bye-Laws of the Association. The Council reaffirms that this process is being undertaken strictly as per norms and with due legal backing.

    3. Independent Oversight Mechanisms

    The HCA confirms that it has both an Ethics Officer in place to deal with matters relating to conflict of interest, as well as an Ombudsman to function as an independent dispute resolution mechanism for grievances. This dual system ensures fairness, transparency, and impartiality in addressing any concerns raised within the Association.

    Hyderabad Cricket Association appoints Mr. Imtiaz Khan as Interim CEO

    The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Imtiaz Khan as the Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Association.

    Mr. Khan brings with him a distinguished track record in both corporate leadership and sports administration. Professionally, he has held senior leadership positions including Business Head – Reliance Communications, Country Head – Coca-Cola (Bangladesh), and key management responsibilities with Cadbury’s.

    Alongside his corporate journey, Mr. Khan has an impressive sporting background. He is a former state-level cricketer, having represented Andhra Pradesh in U-19 and U-25 categories as well as Osmania University cricket. These reflect his all-round sporting and leadership qualities.

    The Apex Council of the HCA expressed confidence that Mr. Khan’s unique blend of corporate expertise and sporting experience will provide the Association with dynamic leadership, ensuring transparency, professionalism, and growth at all levels.

    As an Interim CEO, Mr. Khan will  ensure the smooth functioning of HCA’s day-to-day management as per Rule 24 of the Rules and Regulations and guide the Association through its ongoing reforms and developmental initiatives.

    Subject: Bus and Building Intervention Exercise at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad by NSG.

    On 31st July 2025, the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) was honoured to facilitate a Bus & Building Intervention Exercise by the 28 Special Composite Group of the National Security Guard (NSG) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.

    This high-level counter-terrorism drill was conducted as part of NSG's nationwide preparedness strategy to enhance response capabilities at sensitive public venues. The exercise was initiated following a formal request from NSG authorities via official correspondence and permission and necessary coordination from the HCA. Advance reconnaissance was also successfully conducted in the third week of July.

    TELANGANA CA W.P. No.27896/2024 v HCA - ORDER STAYED

    PRESS NOTE : 30-04-2025

    In the month of September, 2024, the Telangana Cricket Association, has filed W.P. No.27896/2024, seeking investigation by the CBI into the alleged financial irregularities of the Hyderabad Cricket Association. In December, 2025, the Hyderabad Cricket Association has filed its counter and opposed the claim of the Telangana Cricket Association and stated that the Association has already initiated criminal action against the erstwhile office bearers, the present body assumed its charge on 23-10-2023 and there are no allegations against it. On 21-04-2025, the Learned Single Judge, passed interim orders directing the Hyderabad Cricket Association not to take any administrative or policy decisions involving financial matters, except for payment of salaries to its employees and other day-to-day expenses of the Association.


    Questioning the above interim orders dated 21-04-2025, the Hyderabad Cricket Association, has filed W.A. No.505/2025 before the Hon’ble Division Bench of the High Court at Hyderabad. On 30-04-2025, after hearing the counsels, the Hon’ble Division Bench of High Court at Hyderabad stayed the above interim orders till 09-06-2025.

The order of the Hon'ble High Court was communicated to me by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). I assumed charge on 15.10.2025. To familiarize with the systems adopted by HCA, I have visited the office of the HCA and interacted with the Office Bearers of HCA, the CEO and some of the staff members and obtained inputs from them on basic aspects concerning conducting of league matches

    RESOLUTION OF SRH & HCA REPORTED ISSUES IN MEDIA

    PRESS RELEASE

    In response to various reports circulating in mainstream and digital media regarding issues between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), HCA Secretary Mr. R. Devraj convened a meeting with SRH officials today at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. The meeting was attended by SRH representatives Mr. Kiran, Mr. Saravanan, and Mr. Rohit Suresh.

    During the discussions, SRH proposed strictly adhering to the existing tri-party agreement between SRH, HCA, and BCCI, ensuring that 10% of the available stadium capacity across all sections is allocated accordingly.

    HCA, in turn, proposed maintaining the existing allocation of passes in each category, in line with the long-standing practice followed over the years.

    Following in-depth discussions and further telephonic deliberations with SRH CEO Mr. Shanmugam, the following resolution was agreed upon:
    • The category allocation of 3900 complimentary passes to HCA will remain unchanged, consistent with established practice.

    HCA has assured SRH that they will fully cooperate with SRH in a professional manner. With this meeting, we have resolved all our outstanding issues.

    HCA and SRH remain committed to working together amicably to enhance the spectator experience at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

    In the Emergent Apex Council Meeting held on 13.03.2025, the Apex Council of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has resolved to constitute a committee to represent HCA in discussions with the Telangana Cricket Association (TCA).     HCA: PRESS RELEASE FROM PRESIDENT'S DESK

    In compliance with the BCCI order dated 11.07.2021, the Apex Council of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has appointed a seven-member sub-committee to understand and address the concerns of the Telangana Cricket Association (TCA). This initiative reflects HCA’s commitment to resolving issues and fostering the growth of cricket in the region.

    Additionally, the Apex Council has decided to felicitate Mr. R. Devraj, Team India Manager, and Mr. Dileep, Fielding Coach of Team India, for their invaluable contributions to India’s triumphant campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

    As a token of appreciation, the Apex Council has approved a cash award of ₹10 lakhs each for Mr. Devraj and Mr. Dileep. However, Mr. Devraj has graciously declined the cash award.     HCA TELANGANA PRIMIER LEAGUE (TPL): Expression of Interest (EOI)

    The Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Telangana Premier League (TPL), as advertised in newspapers on 27th February 2025, invites reputed firms with prior experience in organizing cricket leagues/tournaments to secure the rights for conducting the TPL.

    Scope of Work:

    The selected firm will be responsible for:

    • Developing the league structure in alignment with professional cricketing standards.
    • Overseeing the execution of the tournament, including player management, venue coordination, sponsorship acquisition, broadcasting rights, and overall event operations.
    • Ensuring adherence to the guidelines and regulations set forth by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA).

     

    Evaluation & Approval Process:

    • Firms submitting EOIs must highlight their experience, financial capability, and operational expertise in managing such leagues.
    • The received EOIs will be reviewed by the Apex Council of HCA for evaluation.
    • Shortlisted EOIs will be presented at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for further approvals.
    • The Governing Council of TPL, as per the bylaws of HCA, will serve as the final authority in deciding the way forward.

    1. The last date to submit entries along with the entry fee is 7th December 2024.

    BCCI BANS SIX UNDER-19 HYDERABAD PLAYERS

    The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) had requested the police to conduct an investigation into age discrepancies involving certain players in the U19 age group. Following the completion of the investigation, the report provided by the police was submitted to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for appropriate action in accordance with BCCI guidelines.

    Subsequently, the BCCI has imposed a ban on the following six players, effective from 4th November 2024, for a period of two years until 3rd November 2026. During this period, the players are prohibited from participating in all BCCI and state association tournaments. Upon the completion of their ban, the players will only be eligible to participate in senior men’s tournaments.

    The Senior Selection Committee Chairman and Members met today at RGICS, Uppal at 11:30 am and selected the Hyderabad senior team for the first two matches of the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament 2024-25 with Hyderabad matches starting from 21.08.2024. The team will travel to Tirunalveli on 18.08.2024.

    BCCI CIRCULAR REGARDING ELIGIBILITY OF PIO/OCI CARD PLAYERS

    With reference to the BCCI CIRCULAR DATED APRIL 30, 2024 REGARDING ELIGIBILITY OF PIO / OCI CARD HOLDER PLAYERS, it may be noted that the Apex Council of BCCI in its meeting dated June 18, 2024 has taken the following decision:

    Any player who is in the process of relinquishing foreign citizenship, and acquiring Indian citizenship (Indian Passport) will be allowed to play in BCCI tournaments (even if such player is not in possession of an Indian passport) subject to such player providing documentary evidence, to the satisfaction of BCCI, about such relinquishment and acquisition.

    Pursuant to this decision by BCCI, it may be noted that HCA will allow the impacted players to play in the HCA League matches if the players give a declaration that the player is relinquishing foreign citizenship with supporting documentary proof.

    The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is conducting Talent Hunt for aspiring fast bowlers (Male) in Telangana State to show case their talent at RGICS, Uppal, Hyderabad on 22.06.2024 from 8:00am to 4:00 pm.

    Players should register themselves by completing the online form on the HCA website http://www.hycricket.in and https:www.hycricket.org which will be available from 14/06/2024, 10 am onwards.

    Eligibility:
    1. Players should NOT have previously represented Hyderabad team in BCCI Tournaments
    2. Players should be of Indian nationality and should have domicile of Telangana for the last 5 years

    SUBJECT: UPDATE ON MR. VIDYUTH JAISIMHA, HEAD COACH OF THE SENIOR WOMEN’S TEAM

    This is to inform all concerned that Mr. Vidyuth Jaisimha, Head Coach of the Senior Women’s Team, who was suspended on 16/02/2024 following a whistleblower email alleging consumption of alcohol on a team bus, has been exonerated. An inquiry was conducted by the HCA Ethics Officer & Ombudsman (Additional Charge). Pursuant to the findings in Case No. 4 of 2024, the Ethics Officer & Ombudsman has cleared Mr. Jaisimha of all allegations and has directed the Hyderabad Cricket Association to reinstate him to his original position with all consequential benefits.
