HYDERABAD CRICKET ASSOCIATION
MESSAGE FROM HON. SECETARY HCA: 12-04-2026

SUBJECT: Good Days Will Return to HCA Soon: Jeevan Reddy

Hyderabad, April 12: Newly elected Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) Secretary Jeevan Reddy has expressed strong confidence that the Association is on the path to revival, assuring stakeholders that “good days will be back soon.”

Soon after assuming office, Reddy convened a formal meeting with all affiliated club secretaries, seeking their cooperation to usher in an era of transparency, accountability, and good governance.

“My doors are always open. Any club secretary with a grievance can approach me directly during office hours. As Secretary and Chief Executive of the Association, I will ensure that all legally valid concerns are addressed promptly,” Reddy stated.

In a significant move aimed at streamlining player verification and eliminating disputes, he urged all affiliated clubs to digitize players’ birth certificates and link them with Aadhaar. This, he said, would bring much-needed credibility and uniformity to player records.

Reddy also announced that HCA has engaged the services of reputed technology firm Sportsmechanics to enhance transparency and accountability across all affiliated units. The company is known for transforming the way sport is organised, played, analysed, and experienced. With over a decade of deep domain expertise, it brings strong capabilities in consulting, technology, and analytics across multiple disciplines. Sportsmechanics has successfully integrated diverse technologies within the sporting ecosystem, delivering impactful results for clients across the globe.

Jeevan Reddy further emphasised that the firm is also associated with the BCCI, reinforcing its credibility and making it a natural fit for the task.

“There should be no hesitation in adopting systems that promote transparency. This is a necessary step toward restoring trust in the functioning of the Association,” he noted.

Addressing concerns raised by club representatives regarding the scheduling of longer-format matches, Reddy displayed flexibility by agreeing to reduce four-day league matches to three-day games, following a consensus among stakeholders.

Making his intent clear, Reddy asserted that his primary mission is to remove prevailing misunderstandings and rebuild confidence among all stakeholders in Hyderabad cricket.

“I believe this is a humble beginning. With the active support of club secretaries—who, by and large, are genuinely interested in the growth of the game—we will work together to put Hyderabad cricket back on track by conducting leagues and tournaments strictly as per schedule,” he said.

Reddy, who was elected unopposed a fortnight ago, has wasted no time in initiating corrective measures, signalling a proactive approach to tackling the challenges facing the HCA.
