One Day Internationals at Hyderabad
Hyderabad Cricket Association has so far hosted 25 One-Day Internationals (ODI). Before the advent of Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium (RGICS), all international matches hosted by HCA were played at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium that belongs to the State Sports Authorities. 13 out of 20 ODIs at Hyderabad were played at this stadium. Since 2005, RGICS hosted 9 ODIs. All ODI matches at Hyderabad are tabulated below with scorecards.
Shubman Gill now holds the record for second highest individual score at Hyderabad with 208 against New Zealand in 2022-23 season. India went on to score 349 runs in 50 overs. The second high score from Indian Team was Rohit Sharma with 34.
Mohammed Siraj was the pick of the bowlers in the match against New Zealand. Playing an international match for the first time on his home ground Siraj bowled his heart out and ended with an impressive 4/46 in the match taking decisive 2 wicket in 19th over.
MG Bracewell’s 140 in 78 balls almost took the match away from the Indians. He came to bat when New Zealand was reeling at 131/6. He steadied the New Zealand Innings in partnership with MJ Santner (57) and brought New Zealand within 12 runs for Victory.
Sachin Tendulkar with an individual score of 186* and Rahul Dravid with his individual score of 153 against New Zealand in 1999-00 series holds the partnership record with 331 runs at Hyderabad in One Day International.
Youraj Singh on his way to his second century at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium against Australia. He scored 121 runs. His first century here was against South Africa when he scored 103 runs.
Andrew Symonds was adjudged the Man of the Match in India V Australia ODI played at the RGICS on 5th October 2007. He scored 89 runs of 67 balls. Australia won this match by a magin of 47 runs.

Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Hyderabad
In the 21st century, thanks to the efforts of Mr.N.S.Yadav, Hon.Secretary at HCA ,2000-09, Hyderabad now boasts of an exclusive state-of-the-art cricket venue which hosts international matches in style befitting the great game of cricket at par with any venue of international repute, anywhere in the world.
Initially it was christianed "Visaka International Cricket Stadium" and later in 2005 it was renamed "The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium (RGICS)".
From the date of its inauguration till July 2022, RGICS hosted
- 6 Test Matches
- 6 One Day International Matches
- 2 T20 International Matches
- Several First Class Matches
